Buying a Horse 

These are our current horses offered for sale. Horses come to us for many different reasons. From ponies that are outgrown, teens that have lost interest, teens that want to 'upgrade' all kinds of situations.

They come here to be sold and rehomed safely. We spend time getting to know these horses and put them all on our training program so we can match them correctly with a new owner.

Have a look through them and give us a call, by talking to you we are much better able to match a horse with your abilities and needs

We have great trial facilities, whether its a jumper or  trail horse, you can be sure they have been exposed to everything from scary jumps and obstacles to wild pigs and cows right here at home, and of course been a busy working farm they all see a wide variety of heavy machinery.

 If you see horse you like please give us a call we will be happy to tell you everything about him or her, and we will give our honest opinion if we think they will work for you and what you want to do. If you are absolutley certain this is the horse for you after talking to us, then we will hold a horse for one week with a holding depositvia paypal until you can get here to meet him or her.

How to place a holding deposit

You can call us or email us and request a papypalinvoice to place a holding deposit on a horse.  Before doing this we would rather talk to you via phone or email and make sure the horse is going to be right for you. Your deposit will hold the horse for a week until you can come and meet him or her.

 If you are far away from us we are able to take videosand pictures to your specifications. We are able to arrange Health certificates for out of state travel and are have sent horses as far as Kentucky and Montanato their forever homes!

For all our  buyers, we recomend a pre purchase exam, while we will always inform you of any health issues the horse may have, you will have greater peace of mind if our vet gives them a check over, this is an inexpensive option which enables you to enjoy your horse for the purpose intended. Preparing for your horse

When you do meet your perfect partner. we will do everything we can to insure a smooth transition for you and your horse.

Transportation

We can arrange transport for you if you do not have a trailer, from local to out of state with  network of haulers that we use. We have shipped horses as far as California and Montana. Your horse will be delivered safely to its destination and ready to ride.

We can even have your horse fitted for tack and make sure everything fits correctly and is comfortable. We have an excellent local tack store who make custom saddles in any color and also have a good selection of used tack. Giddy Up Tack Shop can be found on the Friends of SCS page

Taking your new Friend Home

When you take your new horse home, you will be given a detailed report of the food he is eating, his worming program and his exercise routine. All this helps make a smooth transition from our home to yours
